After two months and three exhibitions, we are already almost at Christmas! Having soaked our hands in all sorts of liquids and having experimented with various natural tanning methods, we are one step closer to understanding just a little bit more about how different fish skins react to tanning processes. It is still early days, but we have some ideas for interesting end products made out of fish skin. The skin of pufferfish, for instance, is very thin and pape like and yet it feels very solid at the same time. And we are looking forward to some new seasonal specimen to test with! Once we have a better understanding of the ideal tanning method for each variety of fish available, we shall come back with pictures of interesting designs - stay tuned!
